Mary Nagle is a 4-year letter winner on the Madison Metro Lynx co-op team. A defenseman, she was captain her junior and senior year. She participated in WEHL offseason. Mary played youth hockey for the Polar Caps and then Madison Mavericks girls’ team for 2 years.  She also earned varsity letters in lacrosse, cross country and track.  She represented Madison West at the state cross country meet her senior year.  Mary graduated with high honors and was an AP Scholar with Distinction. Last year she was selected to do a Science Research Internship at UW Madison where she worked in a medical physics research lab with Carri Glide-Hurst in the Department of  Human Oncology.  Mary has been a National Honor Society blood drive organizer for West the past two years. She has had leadership positions in Meals Matter and 2 clubs which she founded – Letters of Love and Girls Empowerment in Mathematics (a group that tutors girls in mathematics at Randall Elementary).  She has also waitressed at the Elks Club and been a lifeguard at Shorewood Pool.  Mary will enter UW-Madison in the fall where she plans to study Biochemistry on a pre-med track and become involved in oncology research.

The Nagles are definitely a West Regent family.  Mary’s younger brother plays goalie for the Regents and her parents are both alumni.
